self-Guided school visits
Self-guided school visits may be arranged for Tuesday through Friday at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, or 2 pm.
This tour is a self-guided tour, and will therefore not be lead by an educator. Before your self-guided tour, we recommend that you to visit our Prism.K12 website, where you can find information and ideas on arts integration. It may also be helpful to visit the Plan Your Visit page to see a map of the museum. You can see which works are on view in the Collection section of the website.
Guided school Visits: Permanent Collection
Guided school visits of the permanent collection may be arranged for Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 am or 11:30 am.
Guided tours are led by museum education professionals trained in object based learning, visual arts, and arts integration. Tours should be scheduled one month in advance. They are customized tours based on classroom subjects integrated with the art in our collection. You will be contacted by your educator for any themes or subjects you want to explore in the galleries. Tours consist of close looking of 3–4 works in the permanent collection. Each tour stop includes an activity.
GUIDED SCHOOL VISITS: SPECIAL EXHIBITION
Guided school visits of the special exhibition may be arranged for Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, or 2 pm.
These guided visits explore the special exhibition on view at the Phillips. The guides will help students explore the work exhibited while customizing the visit to meet the needs of the group. Please note that not all special exhibitions are available for guided school visits.
